The St. Patrick’s Parade Society of Toronto would like to wish our families, our members, our volunteers, the community, our sponsors and our suppliers a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Even though this year’s parade has been cancelled, we will be bigger and better next year. We’re going to stay strong, act responsibly, and we’re going to pull through this together. We’d like to give special thanks to our 2020 Grand Marshal Gavin Tighe for his unwavering support in a challenging situation. St. Patrick’s Parade Society Chair Shaun Ruddy discussed the cancellation of the parade in an interview on ThatChannel.com, which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NB2lJ_2tv7c
As well, we’d like to give a special thank you to all our supporters that come to each one of our events throughout the year. Our supporters are the fabric of our community. We are very grateful to them, as they are amongst the most engaged communities of any group, both online and in person. We appreciate your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
The world is experiencing a challenging time, but by appealing to our values and showing leadership, caution and responsibility in our individual lives, we can be an example to those around us. Once we’re through this, we’re going to have the biggest and best parade in our history!
Keep safe,
St. Patrick’s Parade Society of Toronto
